Coach Chip

Dennis M. Anderson Jr, also known as Chip, or Coach Chip, was born November 6 1972 and graduated from Edison High School in 1991. He began training jiu-jitsu shortly after high school, a journey that’s stayed with him throughout many turns in life.

He went to Saddleback College where he received his A.A. and played football on two national championship teams after an impressive high school career. He then transferred to University of Chico State where he got his B.A. in English with a minor in public relations.

He received his teaching credential from CSUF, and went into the teaching world where he amassed over a decade of coaching in both football and wrestling.

After a number of years teaching, he stepped away to focus more on his family.

Married with two daughters, he is heavily involved in the local community and continues to play a role at his local church and teaches swim lessons at the local community center in addition to helping with kids classes and assisting adult classes at Gracie Laguna Hills.

Coach Chip is the general manager of Gracie Laguna Hills and is a big part in maintaining the day-to-day operations of the gym. He received his blue belt from the Joe Moreira and purple belt from Marcio Feitosa, with time spent learning from the legendary Royce Gracie as well. He was the first one through the door when Gracie Laguna Hills opened, and he couldn’t be more excited to share his brotherly wisdom with you.
